One trick helping beginner and advanced meditators alike is setting a timer for your meditation. Beginners also benefit from resting their attention on an object, like an altar or a simple pebble, or a relaxing video providing little stimulus so they can return their focus on meditation when their mind wanders.
To help you with your meditation practice, I created four videos for 5, 10, 15, and 20 minute timed meditation sessions. The videos have a short intro and wrap-up, but they are not guided.
